Just bought a Corvette

Are their any known issues with 2000 Corvettes? This one has 59K miles on and runs solid, but it does have one problem, it keeps displaying the air pressure in the tires is always low after it's been sitting a few hours, is that a problem?

One other thing you need to know is that the tire pressure sensors have batteries in them that generally last for about 5-6 years, (7 would be a bit of a stretch, but not unheard of). Weak batteries usually become evident when the weather starts getting cold, and the RR is usually the first one to show problems with a low battery because it's the furthest from the receptor inside the car, I'm told.
If you have more than 25 psi and are still getting an alert on your DIC, try doing a TPS relearn on the car which is nothing more than getting into the DIC system, and then holding a magnet at the base of the valve stems one at a time. If that doesn't correct the problem you may need to pony up for some new sensors. If that be the case, check with Fred Bean GM. I don't know if he's a sponsor here, but he is on the Corvetteforum. He usually has the best price on those things.
By the way, welcome to the club. That car is a beauty!
A friend of mine had a 2000 coupe. He has tracked it, autocrosses it regularly, drag raced it, and has never had any problems with it (other than the column lock).
