wheel and tires? Ok, here's my problem. I'm looking for the best wheel and tire combo for my Z06. my two choices are to keep my stock rims and get some street drag tires like nitto dr. or buy the 08 Z06 rims (black) on falkens... or just give me another option.
BTW I don't take this car to the track much but I can't stand the little amount of traction I get from these stock goodyear F1's

It depends on how much you are willing to spend. The 08 ZO6 wheels will require a spacer to fit properly. If your just worried about traction then getting some DR's will be the cheapest route.

Take a look at the tirerack they have a set of 06-07 Z06 rims (in gray) that bolt up to the C5 for $630. I would post the link but for some reason it's not working for me.

Thanks man, for the info. I was looking for them on ebay for $1100 w/o tires. But for $630 w/o tires sounds like a great deal. thanks again.

that's one nice looking Z. what's your setup(rim brand, tire size, overall cost).
thoses CCW's look amazing can you get them in chrome are they ploished alluminum cuz i want a set and i don't mind the price but i want them in chrome they were like 3300? werent they?
The rims are CCW 505A in 19X10 (275/30/19 PS2s) front 19X11 (305/30/19 PS2s) rear and run ~$3K for the set (without tires). They only come in polished but can be sent off to be chromed.

I have the same wheels. Look at paying close to $2000 for just tires. 19" tires are expensive and very little to choose from. I paid $1800 for Pilot PS2's. Good thing is that Pilot PS2's come in a 315-25-19. Most 19" tires come as 295, 305, 335, 345 or 355's unless you go with the C6 Z06 special and get the 325 supercars for $368 a peice.

I have the same wheels. Look at paying close to $2000 for just tires. 19" tires are expensive and very little to choose from. I paid $1800 for Pilot PS2's. Good thing is that Pilot PS2's come in a 315-25-19. Most 19" tires come as 295, 305, 335, 345 or 355's unless you go with the C6 Z06 special and get the 325 supercars for $368 a peice.
wow I thought I would be spending more on the nittos for the fact that they waste much faster than street tires. I was thinking more on the lines of $1000 to $1500. thanks for info.
