C6 11.42@125 on runflats!!!!!!
I HAD A 470 rwhp c5 NOT c5z JUST REG c5 WITH DR DIDNT HAVE NO PROBLEMS, I HAVE AN 05 C6 NOW GONNA START OFF WITH FULL EXHAUST AND A TUNE, THEN ILL SAVE UP FOR A REAR HOW MUCH AM I LOOKING TO SPEND?
a C5 rear and shafts are about $1500-2000 around here, install is extra of course, aftermarket rears/diffs are mostly over $3-4K, with some in the $5K range for full out race rear. I'd get some enjoyment out of the one you have for now and if it doesn't break, great, and maybe have a replacement on hand encase it does so you don't have as much down time. Not all the C6 (05) rears break, but there has been a good number of them that have already, but there has also been a good number of aftermarket rears w/ braces fail already as well. I still have yet to hear of a C5 rear/shafts to fail.Good luck in your build .
YEA THATS WHAT ILL DO KEEP MODDING THE CAR AND RUN DRAG RADIALS UNTILL THE REAR BRAKES AND JUST HAVE THE MONEY READY FOR WHENEVER IT BRAKES

The C5's are definetly weak, but no where close to the C6's! I watched TWO C6's back to back break their shafts in the rear and they were completly stock! I didnt wanna race my car anymore after that! LOL
