To low of a rpm and you are letting the clutch go to quick. Start at 3700 and go up by 300rpms until you get to where you need to be. You have to do a quick ride/dump. I leave at 5000rpm on stock clutch and stock gear and get 1.60 to 1.67 60'. I would not try the spray until you are happy with your numbers on motor.

I agree with the guys in the original thread. Get rid of the 18" wheels and the drag radials and get some ET Streets with a smaller rim and larger sidewall. The larger softer sidewalls will absorb the shock of the launch instead of transferring it to the suspension and allowing the wheel hop to happen. I had the same problem on my Cobra and a set of MT ET Streets did it for me. OOhh... and if you dont have hardened output shafts, you may wanna look into them as well. ET Streets are just as unforgiving as wheel hop is.

True stuff above if your having trouble ! Some people can get the drag radials to bite about as good as the ET Streets. I used my drag radials on 18" rims for fun on the first 3 runs last weekend and had wheel hop for the first time ever, with 18 lbs in them. Also had to bring my launch down to 1800 to hook at all. Went back to my ET Streets on the 17" rim and all was good again launching at 5-6000+ rpm. Each vette reacts different to the track because of the driver and track prep. All my burnouts sucked that night so the ET Streets at 12 lbs were the best at launching warm instead of hot. Track prep was terrible because it was street night, domestic vs import. Just keep trying different combinations and remember, some times it just isn't your day !! Pit-man
