I had PS2's on mine when I bought it and the tires have just been replaced... I didn't want to drop the coin on another set so I had a choice of Firestone Wide Ovals or Toyo Proxes

I've driven both kinds pretty hard and the Toyos are the best compromise... although I DID notice a slight drop in confidence when taking aggressive exit ramps at the edge of traction compared to the Michelins...

Next time around I'm going straight for the Michelins... it's worth it. I can get tires at wholesale if interested.....

p.s.- I've driven a regular C5 with Nittos (although not as hard as my own Zo6) and I didn't like them much... I forgot exactly why though.

Please don't buy Kum-hos... aside from being cheap they are ugly (sidewall) and the grip goes way down as the tires wear (chemical properties probably change from all the heat cycles) When we have a C5 that comes in with shot tires we dump Kum-hos on it... but I'd never put 'em on my personal ride.... my $.02

Your Zo6 is meant to be driven hard... and you're giving up a lot with the wrong tire selection.

My preference from experience:
1) Michelin PS2 -hands down, perfect till the last burn out)
2)Toyo (The best compromise, grip/price/wear/looks)
3)Goodyear Supercar (When they're above 50% tread/price is higher than Toyo/WO)
4)Firestone Wide Oval (Cornering grip isn't the best)
5)Nitto (noise... something else)
6)Kum-hos -if I was broke and couldn't even buy gas for my car.

I actually just found the Toyos last night while searching. They werent priced too bad either.

I have a couple weeks to decide so I have some more research to do. I may end up going with PS2's if I can't find a good compromise. I think I am going to skip the Kumho's and find a better tire and spend a little more money. I don't want to worry about the AH system by buying a tire that is not the correct size, or just cheap.

I found Nitto 555's, but the closest size they had was 285/35/18. WTF?
