Default bolt on ls3 vs stock zo6

A body of mine was telling me about a video where a bolt on ls3 vette beats a stock zo6 on the street.Has anyone seen this?

I saw the bolt on LS3 beat the C5Z. It was posted on the the corvette forums a few days ago. Then locked an deleted within 2 hours. ha ha

It wont get close to the C6Z is thats what hes claiming.

I don't a LS3 C6 MN6 hanging with a C6Z with equal driver, if the C6 did not have cam or heads, it would be at like 415rwhp vs 455rwhp, and the C6Z is lighter by 100 lbs right?

Now a h/c LS3 C6 I see being equal and in some cases faster.

I have seen 08 LS3 with a cam and headers make more power and have better times than a 07 ZO6. The LS3/L92 motors are awesome with great potential.

Lg Motorsports has gotten quite a few LS3 corvettes (mn6) to 500 rwhp and above with just a tune, headers, K&N, and their g7x4 cam. Most make 501 rwhp and some have made as much as 507 rwhp. Should be enough to take down a stock c6z.

A bolt on LS3 traps in the 119-121 range.

A stock Z06 traps 123-126.

I believe the race is between a c5Z and a ls3 C6.

A H/C ls3 should destroy a stock c6Z.

A h/c ls3 done right should trap 133-134 IMO

That was a C6Z06, definitely not a C5Z06! No doubt about that. I have to say that I'm impressed, to say the least! Thanks for sharing!

Watching the Vid, the LS3 sounds like an auto when it is shifting.

Does anyone know weather or not this is in fact an auto, or a stick that is running against the Z06?

Reason I ask is I am considering trading up to an LS3 at this time and am leaning heavily towards an auto since I'm tired of rowing through the gears all the time and figure an auto with a decent torque converter is on par, if not superior to a stick.

No flames please, just facts........

its a 6 speed manual the guy is an excelent driver

Supposedly the 08's shift much easier...I've heard from several people, and read in several articles that (something) was reworked, and shifting is easier...and quicker. Someone with technical facts might want to chime in and let us know exactly what's different between earlier C6's and the 08's (shifting).

But that was a M6 (at least I believe I read that in the intro).

All 08's have the new Tremec TR6060, replacing the T56. The new trany shifts like butter. Anyone who can drive and misses a shift power-shifting is bad. Best trany ever!
