DTE Differential Options
DTE Differential Options I ordered a stage IV differential with 3.90 gears and the differential brace from DTE. I opted for the extra micropolishing option and needed to know if getting the extra differential cooler option was worth it. It is roughly $150 and they can cap it off if I don't want to use it right away so it would be there for future use. Would I be wasting my time with this option? How much more money would it take to take full advantage of this fitting?

You know, if you were to order the EXACT same diff from RPM transmissions, you will save yourself about a grand.
If you dont know who RPM transmissions is, do a search on either this site or corvetteforum.com. DTE's prices are out of this world in relation to the other high end shops. And its not like one can argue that RPM isnt the best in the business. PLUS, their customer service is 2nd to none.
My advice is, is cancel your order and call rpm. With the money you save on the diff alone, it will pay for the brace AND toss 500-700 bucks in your pocket.
There is literally ZERO difference between the diffs. All the way down to the springs and clutch packs.
Also, dont waste your money on the extra fittings. You are spending 150 bucks for a couple of fittings and tapped ports. Which you will most likely never use.
