Pick my Cam! Help!
Pick my Cam! Help! Car is a 2002 Corvette Coupe with A4 Transmission with stock converter and 3:15 gear.Do not want to change stall at this time.
Mods TSP headers-Vararam Ram air-Bassani X and Borla Stingers.I have a wideband and HPTunners.
Would like a cam with a slight choppy idle but has to be a good driver!

Texas Speed has a great selection of cams. The 224 would be a good starter cam for a mild, daily driver. You could step up to the 228 for a little more performance, and have a slight chopy idle if you choose the 112° lobe separation. I don't think you want any bigger than the 228 with the stock stall and 315 gears.

You will love the added power of an aftermarket cam. I recently installed a Patriot 226° cam in my '99 and got it tuned Saturday. It doesn't take much of a butt dyno to notice that the rear tires will spin all the way through first and well into second now! You might want to also add an underdrive pulley while you have the front of the engine disassembled.

It is from Patriot Performance. 226° and .585" lift on a 112° LS I forget the part number, but you can look it up on thier website at:

Call Comp cams (they make most of the cams out there) Do a cam request and tell them exactly what you want. They will spec you out a couple of cams from small, med, large etc. This way you can get a cam that is right for your driving preferences.
