besides the tires what is needed to make a base c6 handle as well or better than a c6 Z06? also how would i go about lowering a C6 and what are the best shocks and swaybars to buy?

Buy some coilovers man,...and some T-1 sway bars.

Or...just buy some adjustable shocks,..if you don't wanna go the coilover route....and some sway bars.

I'd strongly recommend coilovers though. People have mixed feelings about what they like for brands....I use Doug Rippie coilovers, hyperco springs, penske shocks. I've installed LG motorsports coilovers, which look very similar to my setup,..and I like those alot as well. Both, very nice products. Both, very nice results on the cars with feedback, and stance. Out handle any Z06....
