Pit-man 383 Stroker Update
Pit-man 383 Stroker Update For all you guys that took the time to help me out with your Stroker info, here is an update:
Delivered the Z to Tracy @ Rev-Extreme. Going with a 383 Stroker. Cam is a custom 236/244 612, Pete Incaudo heads and ported TB. Also had my Fast ported. My hope is to have a mid 10 second car in cold air. Also going with new McLeod Twin and steel fly wheel (had RPS Single & aluminum before). Fingers are crossed !!! We will see what these guys can do. I will update you with a track report...hopefully just after the Gator Nationals in March.

Well thats just nice and gay sir.... Just too scared you couldn't keep up with us wittle 346 H/C cars up here huh??? Good luck with the new combo. Oh what happened to the old motor to go with this combo??? Didnt you have a nice set of AFR's???
346 vs 383 I knew my 346 wouldn't bust you so I had to take drastic measures. I had to either change cams or motors..LOL. My old AFR's will have to be repaired and then they are going on the Silverado. Trying to hit 11's, NA with the 5.3 motor. See vid below...12.88 in hot air. The 2nd vid is 12.06 with a 75 shot.

Just curious man (not really my business but) you can answer if you want. Is there a reason why you didn't go with a 4" bore block? I am asking because a 4" bore head with larger valves will outflow a very worked small bore head by a long shot(which I'm sure you know)! You could even use the stock crank and do a 4.030 bore with a very good head and make an easy 550 rwhp!

yeah came down to a money thing. Motor and clutch was unexpected. This is still my street car so as long as I can have a ten second car I will be happy.
I was almost there with the stock bottom end ,so I am hoping for a 50+ hp jump with the stroker and new cam. Should put me where I want to be.
