which Headers

Which longtube headers would make more power on an H/C 346ci? And which are better. Kooks 1 7/8ths or LG Streets? How much more power will the better one make over the over?

I personally like the American Racing headers the best. They has a nice design for the collector. Great for the scavaging.

Between the two choices I'd picks the Kooks, because they have the merge (waisted) collectors to add midrange power....

The LG streets are just.... normal... a deal made with a company that I think may be TPIS just to label as their "street headers".... LG goes through Borla to make their premium headers...

Get the LG Pro Longtubes. Not the lg street headers. Pros have full 32" primaries, merge collector, full 3" X pipe and really kick ***. Have seen some cars eek out a couple more peak hp running Kooks 1 7/8 but they were off on hp and torque under the curve. Besides how long do you stay at peak rpms anyways. Its all about power under the curve and LG Pro longtube headers are the way to go.

I love my Lg pros and recommend them, but if you have plans to go F.I. later on i would recommend the Kooks 1 7/8

SLP has some for the vette that are rated as tuned-headers and have seen big time numbers. I personally dont run them cuz i found out about them later, and they are about $800. As far as the 1 7/8 goes, if you are going supercharged or just have a crazy cam for the 346c.i. i would stay with the 1 3/4 header, or you'll probly be losing power.
