Quick question
It may alter the note a little, the factory h-pipe crossover only has a hole roughly 3/8" in diameter. Having more of a crossover in the aftermarket piece will blend the pulses a little better, but is it really worth the money? I don't think so...
If you had an exhaust shop delete the cats with a custom "bolt-on" mid pipe that connects the manifolds to the factory h-pipe you'd have a nice change... and then you can bolt in the cats for the emissions inspection once per year.... that's money better spent.
