Nitto doesn't make the 555's any more, try the nt01, which rocks for the track (ones with turns). Just like the toyo ra1 aren't produced anymore they have the r888.
Whoa, Nitto is still making the 555s I just had a set of 555R IIs delivered for my birthday. They are a great tire for the track. I run the T1Rs on the street and wet track.

Neither, try the Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas. Balanced out very well, stick like glue and they are cheap.

FWIW, I've seen those tires on a Vette. They are PHUGLY as hell IMHO.
