I could of sworn that GM had made a ls series motor but in a v-10 version. They were going to put it in the trucks but was shot down. I don't think there will ever be a v-10 in a vette.
As for the new camaro, if and when it comes out. It will not have more hp than a base vette, maybe the same hp rating but not more. Just like they did with the f-bodies. The underrated them from the factory but in fact pretty much the same motor.

GM did have a 10 cylinder LSx variant coming but work on it was stopped about 3-4 years ago.

They had a variety of issues trying to stretch what they had. I forget all the details but will find out tomorrow.

 

I could be wrong but I dont think anything in this thread was talking mileage or warranty.

the c6rs is 500ci 600hp street legal zo6 vette, it cost a $180000 on top of the cost of a zo6, there might be a warranty, I believe katech makes them, they supply the valve covers anyway, they look beautiful and they make 25 of them a year.

 

Pratt-Miller (GMs Corvette LeMans Series Racing Team) makes the car Katech supplies the engine..Jay Leno got the first one.
