corvette racers inside! I have a stock 07 c6, last night i raced a c5 z06 2 times. Once from a roll, pulled on him hard! Then we got caught at a light and we stayed side by side through 1st, then i started pulling on him like crazy after i got into 2nd...he had exhuast, not sure about other mods...arent these cars very comparable hp wise? I never would have guessed my stock c6 would pull on a c5 z06 like that?? Could have been driver issues, but it was pretty ugly..any experiences??

My thoughts would be that he needed driver mod really, really bad, or his vette was running bad. A good running C5Z should edge out a stock C6 (05-07) given equal drivers. Who knows though, you may just have a factory freak my friend. Regardless, nice kill! 
Nice, but i disagree with some of the posts. the C6 should take take the c5Z, but by barely. At least thats what I read in the Motortrend magazine some time ago. But you slaughtering him, i think thats poor downshifting or premature shifting. Either way, its always nice to hear a friendly race story!

Every thing if have read and experienced says the C5z will win given equal drivers. If you remember the countless threads this topic has been beaten in the majority of facts and statements came out in the C5z's favor. Sounds like a bad driver, but a win is a win. Congrats.

idk but my 02 zo6 ran 12.28 at 115 back in 02 box stock with 1000mi on it and in 03 i had a ms3 and a 150 shot and it ran 11.2 at 133 so i never got to run a c6 but i think it just driver but nice kill
