Default Need help with lowering...

OK, I have done everything you can do to drop my Z06, the rear is fine, I had to cut the bushings, but it sits how I want it. The front end is another story, I cut the bushings and it still sits up to high, so today I completely take out the front lowering bolt and the ****** still sits up high. But the bad thing is the Pass. sits higher than the Driver. As of right now I have a cut bushing/bolt on my left side and NOTHING on the tight and the damn thing still sits higher. I don't know what else to do. Could I be doing somthing wrong? I see all these cars on cut bushings, hell even some with stock bolts that are lower than mine, what gives.

mine takes about 3 days to settle after i have jacked it up to work on the car. the springs settle really finicky..

throw an iron block in the bish like mine... it got my front sitting PERFECT and i just have the front bolts maxed not removed.

another tip that seems to help... let the car down off the floor jack FAST... dont do the slow crap hehe it will sometimes jolt it enough to give it a little trauma and help settle it fast. just make sure your jack will clear. I like that method much better than jumping on your fenders. The springs just need to move a little on their perches and settle from what i understand.

another good thing to do is just go and do some hard cornering on decel, which will put alot of force on the front corners. should work like a charm

I have longer bolts on rear and used C6 bolts on front. There does look like a little more space between fender and tire on the front than rear, but it does measure lower in the front than in the rear.

Default Remove the Jacking Post

I removed the jacking screws totally. You will need to remove the bottom of the shock to get enough room to get them out. I used a piece of thick silicone rubber to place between the bottom of the spring, and the a/frame where it rests so it wouldn't rattle or damage the spring itself. Mine sits about 1 1/2 inches off of the ground in the front. That's as low as it can get. I have replaced the $70 spoiler once, and that is the only problem I have found. I also had mine aligned after it was lowered to the same specs as an 04 ZO6. I do like the way mine handles compared to stock. Good Luck Mike F.
