hey guys, this just started yesterday. i started hearing a rattling noise coming from the middle of the car. Sounded kind of metallic. I am running a spec 3 clutch and stock throughout bearing. I really dont know what it is and its pretty worrysome. it starts when I start rolling, and the noise stays there. As far as the clutch slipping, its not. it engages fine and takes off with power. Just thought i'd get some imput before I tear it apart!

I found this on another thread here. I also have a SPEC Stage 3 Clutch and an aluminum flywheel and mine makes this exact noise when it's cold.

I'll check out the website in a bit when i get home, I am at work and they block that **** here. But mine started making it when I went on my 300 mile trip this weekend. even when it was hot. So, its not a cold thing.

Its your throwout bearing most likely> Push you clutch pedal down and see if it goes away. Most vettes are bad about that.

^I think thats what it also sounds like. Anyone know of a good throwout bearing I can order. One that can handle about 6500rpm's??
