Default Tips or tricks for my cam swap this saturday?

Figured i'd post in the vette section because the gen 3 internal engine board is full of smart asses


I have been told the hood needs to come off and i have been told it doesnt

I agree. One important thing is to leave the hinges attached to the hood and only unbolt them from the frame. This will make putting on and aligning the hood much easier. I also use the writeup from www.ls1howto.com.

Cam went in perfect started right up Sounds amazing. Getting tuned next week

now that i'm getting a built A4, i'm hoping to try this myself

What cam did you go with? Did you also do heads or intake?

Went with the 224r on a 112 lsa from texas speed. Was going to go with a TR224 but the lift is higher on the texas cam and when i get new heads it'll make just a little more power.

Also added a ls6 intake. No heads yet debating on what ones to get.
