06 C6 need help?

this is probably a dumb question but i'm going to ask anyway. just got an 06 C6 auto got it home and the nest time i go to start it on the screen comes up "engine hot air conditioning off" what exactly does that mean? thanks for any help

I imagine it means that you engine is hot, and your airconditioning is off. When your car is running, try hitting the info button to see if anything else comes up.

That looks like a failsafe mechanism that will shut of the A/C compressor to reduce load on the engine when it's overheating. What is your coolant temperature when this comes on? Could be a bad sensor if it's not hot. Is it still under warranty?

maybe a temperature sensor going bad?gauge seems to be ok and the digital gauge seems to be fine idk and no its not under warranty to many mods hahaha

bus communication problem i think but get a temp sensor and put it in......it sits so close to the manifold and since the car is turboed it might have gotten it to hot.........you could have told me you bought this car!!! ill find out what issue it was having when they built it if you want....they had some electrical issue but they found the problem....and i think it was a ground loose....probably the same thing again....

thanks man i actually think i got it fixed had to fix some wiring it smoked two relays and would'nt do anything so i redid the wiring and it seems to be fine now thanks again
