Yes the noise goes down, someone I know has them doubled up. Very quiet in his.

It's too quiet, I need more volume. I don't want any drone, and I still want to be comfortable on 3-hour trips, but when I open it up, I want to scare people.
What is the opinion of the TSP headers? They seem like a bargain. Are there any links to hear what they sound like?
For a catback I was thinking of a used z06 Ti (relatively affordable), or a Borla Stinger or B&B bullet.
Any clips to these setups?

For the longest while I wanted to replace the factory Ti for a Borla Stinger quad tip (my only choice)
Now I like my Ti more than anything.... plus the going $400 price for a titanium exhaust is one hell of a bargain!

The corsa indys are the only system that are truly drone free. They don't really have that classic v-8 sound either though. At WOT their scream is impressive. It's not just loud, it actually has a good tone. The workmanship on the corsas is top notch too.
If I were you I would get your hands on a TI exhaust, just throw the longtubes on with a mid pipe.

I lkie the sound of corsa personally. Its a different from the norm of hearing that muscle car sound. I makes the car sound like an exotic car. Especially,when you put on headers and no cats.

Txx Headers (see below sig pic), Corsa x-pipe and Ti's was my exhaust setup. First vid is with a passenger, 120lbs of tools, and motor only. 2nd vid same only spraying 100hp off line. 3rd vid is same spraying and an improptu with a 2005 R1. All vids werre with outside temp of 35ish temps.

Anyone try the "big 3" package from LG Motorsports yet. They have dyno sheets posted showing more power then Ti, or even the bullets. I have the bullets and I didn't think anything outflowed the bullets or allowed the car to exhale better. At any rate check out the graph on LGM's website. Its a c5 zo6 with a g5x3 cam and LG Pro longtubes with the big 3 and it made more power then either of the other two systems (Ti or Bullet) Also that was power everywhere not just peak.
I was looking at the LG 'big 3'. It's 'only' $1000... I figured it would carry an LG tax and be a lot more. But if you're on a budget like me, I'm thinking that a used Ti is the way to go.

no over axle pipes but the mufflers could be clamped on easily. I have B&B and although i wanted to put the Ti on my car after headers and heads/cam to quiet it down. Now I'm not so sure that i want it all the quiet. The B&B sounds good and idle, just a little noise at cruise and BADASS WOT. My sale of some Ti's aside, i hear they are GREAT mufflers for somebody that wants it to sound stock at idle and cruise but wicked at WOT.~Cole~

I am cheap so I went with the A&A exhaust mod. This allowed me to direct the funds from mufflers to a LT header system. Anyways the A&A mod is cutting a small hole (about 1.5") in the tube that enters the muffler then cutting another hole in the exit tube closet to the inlet tube.Then you bridge the the two tubes with a short section of pipe then spray paint black. The mod can not be seen unless you look real close, and you can say you have stock mufflers. This allows exhaust and sound to bypass the mufflers. With my cam and LT headers the sound is great.
Also consider a GHL system; they have a really deep tone.
I wish there was an exhaust with the best qualities of the Borla and the Corsa.

I got the grantelli system off ebay for $500 shipped to my door. They have a nice rumble at idle, barely any drone at all on the highway, and they absolutely scream at WOT. The drone isn't anywhere near comparable to the stingers or B&B bulletts. The fit and finish were also great. Here are some soundclips.
