Could you list all the mods to the car, Hp/Tq, a run down of the slip??? I'm a lowly C5 6spd, not doubting you in the least just curious due to thinking of a LS2 motor for my car due to 96k miles on my LS1.

Congratulations on the PB!

Im talking about aftermarket internal parts like DTE makes. Not what size gears he has, that has nothing to do with the strength of the rearend. I believe if he still had the stock housing and internals that it would have broke but I may be wrong.

Ok I gotcha. I have a few friends with mods on their c5s from H/C to spray to just bolt ons like myself. They have made many launches with drs on their factory rears with out blowing them yet. Notice I said "yet", you can get away with it for a while as I did with the 10 bolt I had in my H/C/I/E T/A. I do not plan on dragging my C5Z so I am not worried about it.

Also I put your sentence together wrong in my head from your post. You said "it would have broke on that 60" I thought you meant it would not break that sixty foot as in time wise without mods. Sorry if I made you mad. I noticed you kinda took a certain tone with me in your post. I meant nothing by what I said.

believe it or not its the original 05 rear and housing Cartek built 373 gears hardened output shaft 1 side. as long as you avoid wheel hop the rear is fine knock wood. i have at least 200 runs at the track and plenty on the street 1 broken driver side axle
