Default spray or fast intake?

currently making 395/360sae.
blackwing intake
unported ls6 manifold
ar headers/zo6 ti catback
england green whiplash cam (mid 240's)

i am debating getting a ported fast intake/t.b or just throwing on a 100-150 shot.

I would say nitrous for sure, you don't have quite enough mods to take full advantage of the manifold i.e. ported heads so for you I would say the best bang for the buck is definately some spray!

So a pretty big cam plus headers and CAI are your mods? I would say the NO2 is going to give the biggest bang by far without a doubt. Question is do you want to go nitrous or stay N/A? I'm not a big fan of nitrous and I like my power all the time and not at the mercy of a bottle that you turn on and off...seems more fair that way. Then again if it's something you just want for the track or occasional fun on the street then by all means spray that bitch! Only real downside is faster wear on the internals.

I'd say put your money into a good set of heads. AFR 205's or TFS 215's. Just my 2 cents

A good set of heads would definitely wake that cam up, but a set would run you between $1800 to $2600 depending on what you go with. Installing them would be another $500 to $800. Also figure about another $400 to $500 to tune it.

Getting a good wet nitrous kit with all the extra safety items( WOT switch, window switch, and so on ) will be about $1200ish. Installing the system takes about the same amount as installing a set of heads, so figure about $1000 for the install and tune.

The nirous kit will be a little cheaper and get you a little more power, but remember that you will have to keep filling the bottle at $40 to $50 a hit. The power of the heads will always be there.

Good info from Keith.

My vote would be to throw the 150 shot on and have some fun

The spray would be a quick fix, then do H/C down the road, then spray the H/C when you want a real beast.

that should work out good. My unported Fast 90/90 gained only 14-15 rwhp over the LS6 on the n/a tune, but gained a little more than 30 rwhp over the LS6 with the same nitrous jetting, the Fast mani. really loves the spray!

Spray all the way! You want the power now, and when you really have the money, then go with the intake! TNT nitrous kit $800 (one of the best out there), Electronic MSD window switch $100, and then just do it yourself.

+1 for spraying! Every time I think about spending more money on a cam and heads, I just say, "nah, I'll just change the jets instead."

Nitrous can't beat the bang for the buck as people have mentioned. Give Nitro Dave's a call, they'll answer any questions you have, and have anything to everything to fit your application.
