Default my 99 frc build

Well I know that you guys havent heard from me in a while, I am sitting in sandy beautiful afghanistan . I just thought I would check in with an update on what I am doing to my car while I am gone.

So here is the plan... I will be using my 99frc with 19k on it as the car.

Engine:
stock shortblock with ecs blower cam, vortech t trim kit from andy, prc stage 1 ported ls6 heads, ls6 mani, and 60 lb injectors.

Exhaust:
ar 1 7/8 lt headers w/ off road x, keeping my slp lm's for right now, already have a set of 4 tip borla stingers, just wanna see how loud it will really be.

Drivetrain:
stock t 56 for now, both sides hardened output shafts, dte diff brace, and keeping my spec stage 3+ clutch (may switch before this build is over, dunno, I kinda like having a massive left leg

Exterior:
electron blue respray, with red gs fender stripes, black c5z wheels (either that or lewis5 rear fenders and black c6z wheels), and flush mount tail lights.

Suspension:
pfadt coilovers

Interior:
corbeau a4's, and some of those covers for armrest, shifter and e brake, double din conversion, avic 3 pioneer headunit, boost, afr, and fuel pressure guages.

I am hoping for a badass street car with somewhere near 600 rwhp, please make any suggestions based on experiences or anything you think that I am forgetting.

Oh yea, you'll have a bad azz street car for sure, actually a bad azz street/strip car. Looks as though you have your bases covered pretty well, and a thought out plan of attack, good luck. By the way, thanks for being a stand up American.

Proud to be a flag-waver.

Dang bro, sounds like you're going to make a beast! I can't wait to hear her roar at WOT. When are you coming back home?

Keep your head down my friend, we'll be praying for you and all the other leathernecks out there.

You might check into LG race longtubes. If you have run a lot of plumbing, the LG's give a lot of room to play with inside the engine bay. I haven't seen the AR's so it might be a great choice as well.

Get your fueling system taken care as well, don't skimp on that one.

While you have your drivetrain out, it's hella easy to do a clutch swap, so now's the time to do it.

Your car going to be see a bunch of street action? Then the pfadts will be a good choice. I can't recommend any of the coilovers + boost + sticky tire road racing.

You'll have a badass whip for damn certain!

the fueling stuff is taken care of with the supercharger kit, I dunno if I am gonna change the clutch right now, as the spec 3+ is rated at more than I need by quite a bit. I will also have plenty of room with the ar headers, thanks for the suggestions though.

Sorry about getting off track, but do you have a good picture showing your stripe? I am thinking about doing this and...

Check out Kooks 1 7/8" or AR in that size.

LG doesn't make 1 7/8". The pros are still 1 3/4. For a blower car you want larger primaries.

BTW, with that much power.. Check out your torque tube bushings. The rubber donut couplers in the tube. There are 2 of them and on pre-2000 cars they are smaller. They probably should be changed. I'm running 2 solid ones, (although some don't recommend it).. for over 15k miles with no issues.

I don't really have any bigger or better pics of the stripe, I wish that I could help. But I got a new computer right before I left. I will see if I cant get you a few before the bodywork starts. I was planning on using AR headers in the first place, someone else suggested the LG's to me thanks for the idea on the torque tube bushings, I forgot about those.
