C6 ZO6: Fastest GM ever?

C6 ZO6: Fastest GM ever? Is it now safe to say that the current production C6 ZO6 is the fastest, baddest vehicle to leave a GM assembly line? Is it even more powerful, and faster than the fabled 426 hemis, 428 Cobra Jets, 454 Chevelles of the '60s and early '70s?
**** that!! corvette ZR1 is look it up so far jay lenno (of cource im mean who else) has one, it has a factory super charged LS9 yup you read it right LS9 (nine) now if thats not bad *** enough it comes super charged.... GM has been talking about it competeing with the Ferarri enzo!!

best way i can describe its speed is now you see me now you don't
oh and i forgot to mention the engine comes de-tuned by the factory by about 75 hp but other people say its de-tuned by about 120 hp
either way its alot!!

I'm sure the C6Z is much faster than the old muscle cars you mentioned even if you consider it was more difficult for them to put the power to the ground. Now as for the Viper I know it's only .1 quicker in the 1/4 but up top it pulls away from the Z pretty bad. I can't wait for the ZR1 to come out and smack the SH_T out of the Viper and Ford GT.

I can't wait to see the ZR1 on the street. Whats this rumor being tossed around about being detuned at the factory ?? That would really suck to pay for a 630 bhp car and get a 510 bhp car. Detuned by 120 would blow. If it is true they just turned it into an overpriced Zo6, that now makes 5 more horsepower and weighs a couple hundred more pounds. I really hope they don't detune the car.

Now that would be cool. So the factory tune is what's holding it back ?? Get that thing to a tuner as soon as software is available !!! Didn't the mustang gt 500 gain a ton of power after being tuned and given a less restrictve air filter. Can't wait to see what the Zr1 will do with a tune.
