Hey Jamie sounds like the car is coming along. If you do not mind let me know when you make it back into town so I can hand you that 5 bucks in person, and hang out.

Cory

lol. Thanks Cory, I appreciate that. I am heading up this weekend with my girl, most likely friday night i'll arrive,..saturday morning, i'll be there at the shop. Just get a hold of Matt, and i am sure he'll get a hold of Josh. shouldn't require much work, as it's in the hands of my fabricator. If he gets the charge pipes completed,...i'll start the car and take it out. I still have a couple of loose ends to finish but,...we'll see.

My woman(not the one pictured)(lol) is coming along too. so I gotta
try and make her have a good time too,.....so I don't know how much time i'll spend in the shop but,...we'll see. Maybe i'll just put her to work and start wrenching. lol. She's done it before.

Anyways Cory, cool deal,..i'll see you ths weekend. Thanks again,.

Sounds like you are getting pretty close bro. Can't wait.

Is it possible to get an initial start up vid ?? That would be cool.

I wouldn't mind doing a first start video,,....only I don't want the camera to hear or see me smiling like a 12 year old about to get candy from a pedaphile.

I'm always leary about "first starts"....as I am used to initial problems at first,...soo,..I dunno about the camera. But, now that you have reminded me, I'l make sure we do have some cameras rolling for the weekend. I really wanna drive the bastard,..soo, hopefully we'll get some more shots of the car...for the initial testing at least. It's been over three months,...soo, i'm ready, even though i won't beat on the car until I have it on the dyno and everything is operating normally.

blah blah blah. Sorry,..long day. Yes my friend,..i'll try and have the camera's going for some vids for everyone.

I did get my shifter base, a C6 Z06 base, which I will tell you, is WAY BEEFIER then my original piece of poop. I also have my 3" aluminum dounuts now as well...soo...hopefully we'll get the exhaust complete soon too. We'll see how it goes,..it'll most likely start this weekend but,...it still is a way off from being "complete"

Glad to hear everything is working out. Your baseline dyno numbers and final tune numbers should be pretty interesting. Seeing her limp along at first, then after everything is said and done, sprint like a cheetah. Good luck J !!

lol. Thanks for asking. I don't though. I've been needing to set one up(used to have one but,..never used it,..don't know if it still exist or even the name of it)...for a while now, just so I can buy stuff easier from people,...just haven't got around to it.

It's quite alright though man,..I appreciate it but,...I don't want anyone to come out of pocket for my hotrod project,..ya know. Sure, i'd love donations all day long but,..i'm no different from anyone else. What Doug suggested was awesome,....in a perfect world,..my po box would be full,...and i'd have an 8 second car by now. But,..times are tough,..people are loosing jobs,..gas is about 5 bucks....everyone is having a tough time,... So,..yeah, it'd be great but,....it's alright, no thank you sir....but again, I do appreciate the thought(s).

No thanks bro, I am on pace to make 100 grand again. So I'll just keep praying for OT. Its worked well so far. Believe me bro, my retirement check is going to be FAT when I am done. How would you like a retirement that was worth 60k / yr GUARANTEED, for life too?? Plus the money that has accumulated in my 1 to 1 matching account, and my Deferred comp. Hopefully in 20 yrs I have some serious money to play with. Can you say toys unlimited when I retire. I'll be a whopping 53 years old, hopefully still in good shape with the desire to have a hot car. If I stray from Corvettes, I know I'll be riding around in nice *** Benz. Either way I got a lot to look fwd too in just under 20 yrs when I retire.

Hey Jamie, what a tease bro. So she starts and runs huh ? Did you hit the gas to hear how she sounded above idle ??? I can't wait until you get her on a dyno so we can all hear whoosh of those turbos as you go WOT brother !! Best of luck putting the finishing touches on her. Hopefully everything goes smooth from here on out. Again good luck.

Thanks Alex,Chad, and Doug.

The weekend was a good one. I finished up the wireing on the alternator. Seems to be groovy. Cleaned up some of the loose things,...but I still gotta clean up some hoses,..and some wireing. Kinda sucks cause I want my fuel rails to work and I haven't made them work yet, so my final wireing around the rails and injectors won't be complete yet.

That said, I started the car. I had soo many people around that day,....I think 5 surrounding the car. kinda hard when your trying to work...atleast for me. My mind goes a million miles a second,...trying to remember what I was doing before someone points out other **** I gotta do is tough but, also good. It was nice to have all the extra eyes, incase stuff went wrong. For example, buddy of mine noticed the fuel rails were leaking....fixed that...then an AN fitting was leaking...fixed that....etc etc.

Finally,...went to start the car...lol...I guess I had the driver side coil relocation pack,...ah,...wired backwards...as in the coils were opposite of what they should have been. lol,....turn the key on to start it(but I did prime the the engine and turned it over for about 40 seconds beofre I started it up since it sat for 4 months). Thecar BACKFIRED SOO loud, I'm pretty sure they heard it in china. Everyone that was standing over the engine bay....was now scattered across the shop...half the crew was blown down the street. It was funny. I think I was the only person that was laughing. My girl,..and the other women in the shop,...thought someone was dead for sure. lmao...it was funny.

Quick little change,...and it started no problem.

Idles nicely. It is probably a tad louder at IDLE then my LG pros and B&B bullets but,...BARELY BARELY BARLEY. It's actually pretty muffled(dumps at the moment are exiting right next to the oil pan.).

I did start it with NO intercooler piping,...so, I didnt rev it too much but,..it seriously seems to spool almost on instant. It should sound pretty nuts underr loud from what we all heard that day. Quite a "whirling" sound just above 2500rpm.

Now...to the uttter chaos that has ruined my friggin day.

Well,...that aluminum that I bought,....the doughnuts primarily, that I paid 248 dollars for,...is WRONG....better yet, too thin for exhaust to flow through on a street car. Soo,...either I order 10 90 degree 1/8th inch thick aluminum bends/elbos,...and wait 3 weeks for them to come in,...then have my fabricator guy weld them up....or I just order some steel,...and deal with it for the moment.

Soo, race parts solutions hooked me up,..and tomorrow i'll have the STEEL 3" V band flanges,..and i'll have it brought up top them(fabricator),...and they can make me a quickie custom midpipe setup. I'll just have to get rid of those doughnuts that i CANNNNNNNN'T USE(mother freakin son of a bitch).....and down the road, when I have some extra cash,..i'll re do everything in aluminum, all the way back to where the factory exhaust would normally end.

sigh.

Soo...hopefully,...i'll be able to drive the car this weekend coming up,...and hopefully,...i'll be able to trailer it back down here the same weekend,..so I can start testing out everything, so I can prepare it for Diablosport and some live testing.

I alomst killed someone today over the waisted hundreds of dollars in **** that I can't use.....but,..whatever. Just the way it is with me I guess,.....always something.

grrr...
