ok.

8:35pm.

just got home after making some rounds. I was able to spend some quality time with my car today after hours. I re-installed the belt, which was kind of a pain but, not a big deal. Got some oil lines, better tied out of the way, re-installed the passengers side turbocharger. Kinda a pain, cause of the turbo's weight, gravity, and trying to put on lock washers and bolts upside down, was tricky but, fun. Got the help of a couple of buddies at work, holding a magnet,..threading the bolts..etc. Tightened it up,... re-installed the V band clamp on the passengerside downpipe.

Then I re plumbed all of my lines, and intake/charge pipes. I'm short a few T-bolt clamps, 3 " . Kinda sucks but, whatever. I'll use regular hose clamps for the short time period. I have no real area for my power steering tank,..so,..I just put it right in front of the passenger turbo filter. I really don't have another spot for it soo,..it'll work for now, until I get a more custom tank, and relocate if I feel I have too.

Other then that, I added coolant,...and then started the car.

I have something wrong, wireing wise,...my alternator appears to be putting out voltage but, the car isn't seeing it. Soo, gotta figure out that. My gages(boost/fuel) aren't working. I looked at my fuses, two 3 amp fuses blown,..replace, one continues to pop,...soo, how that got messed up is beyond me but, whatever,.....i'll handle it(sucks ***, cause I wired that soo long ago,..).

Car sounds pretty good. Not quite used to it yet but,...it sounds good. I wanna hear it under load. They're is a loud whirlin noise, from the turbo's, and out the mid pipes, mostly on any type of throttle input. My 250ft of header wrap, smells like old man farts, 90 year old womens farts, and burnt popcorn. Yeah, my entire shop,..looks like it's on fire. Should be real fun breaking the car in with that **** smokin like CHEECH & CHONG.

Some smoke was coming out of the left side tail pipe,.....which we're hoping is possibly due to FRESH,, ...5 weight oil,..and the fact that it's too thin. The turbo's when I bought them, we're clean,..not SUPER CLEAN like it was just sprayed off with degresser clean but, they we're clean, good looking turbo's with no indication of ANY flaws.

Soo, tomorrow, i'll go and pick up 20w50 mobil one,...and see what happens. Worse case senerio,........I take it off, and re-seal it. I'm remaining openminded,....and happy to the fact that, no matter what issues I am having right now,..now matter how much I'd like to go GTA4 on everyone and start throwing molitov cocktails at every car in our shop....in a very short time, i'll have a good running, strong, Twin Turbo FRC Corvette.

I'm not the kind of person that gets excited for a vactaion,...or getting certain things,...until I am actually there(vacation)...or the parts are in my hands.

But...

I gotta admit,...the excitement is kicking in(sinister smile as I type this)

just found this...this is about a year, year and a half old.
But this is our shop, my familes, that we did most of the work on my car at this time around(the turbo install only). It's about 8 minutes,..pretty cool if you got that to spare. Couple audio stuff of some classic and modern rides that are housed there. Most are products of my uncle, and his after hours time. they are his personal cars, mixed with my cousin Josh's. Alot of cars have been added since. 1 chevelle, two GTO's, a chrsler, and another LT4.

lmao. AWESOME FIND! Found another, this is my car, back when it was heads cam and SPRAY. shows the dyno vid,..shows my cousins car at idle, mine at idle,..my old graphite painted wheels,...sweet. then it's some cruising,...some lilttle action with me, filming with my right hand, steering and shifting with my left hand...lol. Good audio stuff, no music.

Check it out if you got 8 minutes or less

lol,..no ****. With the blower before making 600+ it'd blow those tires off at 80mph from a 3rd gear roll. SHITTO's(nitto's) do ok from a roll but, still require pilot shills. When these nitto's go i'm looking into toyo's no doubt. I have a free set of BFG's for these wheels but, with the coilovers and my driving habits, I don't think they'll be good for me like the toyo's will.

thanks for the tip though man.

Update,..thursday 9:55pm

Just got back from a 6 hour round trip. had to drop off my cousins trailer and truck that I had to borrow last weekend to bring the car back home. Made excellent time,...even though the trip was chaotic.

On the way up, I was driving, in the rain,...I was in the far left hand lane, truck and empty trailer,...following a red civic. I looked to my right, and was surprised to see a gold jap car somthing spinning out of control, at a speed of roughly 80mph,...possibly a TAD more. He was coming right towards me in a spinning frenzy. I reacted by midly stepping on the brakes,...wheels lock,..I gradly and lightly lift off the brake pedal enough for them to unlock,...the civic in front of me steps on the brakes,....who is now clearly out braking me. I start to flas my headlights to let him know I was about to barrel roll him cause there was no way I was going to stop in time,...he saw the falshing lights, and went on to the 15 feet wide concrete shoulder, he was fine, and out of harms way enough to slow safely.

Meanwhile, that spinning gold car, is still spinning(this all happened super duper fast)......no longer heading violently in my direction but, now staying somewhat striaght(still spinning though), slowly coming towards me,...you could see him trying to recover,...it wasn't happening. The car next to me, was exactly about ,..ah,...I was on his bumper probably, so he was about one car in front of me. Yeah, I watched out my window,...right next to me as this truck I was next to,..straight up broadsided this spinning car soo hard, it caved in the entire drivers side,... the car bouned away, and continued to spin. Two more cars, hit the spinning car,...and traffic behind me, ceased.

I was able to gain control but, seeing everyone getting out of there car, I continued on my path up north. I had goosebumps right after,....as I gotta tell you,...that **** was crazy. I had a front row seat(so did about 20 other spectators)....and watched this thing get clobbered. I have no idea how it worked out for everyone but, I wish them all the best.

That crazyness said,..I drove the car today for the first time in 5 months. I left the hood off, my buddy chris saw me pulling out, he hops in,..we head up the street,...no really knowing what to expect. The car seemed clean,...and well put together. My nexus gages aren't working but, i'd venture to say I was completely out of boost,...maybe 0 vacum or maybe a psi or 2,...and the car felt good. Sounded real nice as well. I wasn't sure how I was gonna dig it or not but, i'm sure it'll grow on me. It's loud but, quiet,...if that makes sense.

Shitty news is, probably due to an air pocket, the car got to 258 degree's.... soo, I ened up having to pull over on our side road at work. We chilled there for a minute,..let it drink out of the coolant tank(you could see it going down). Then I also noticed that my belt, again by the power steering pulley and crank pully appears to be 2 ribs off,... which sucks, cause that means something IS out of alignment. sucks.

Whatelse?.....hmmmm......yeah, that its. I just drove two hours north, then two hours back. Think i'll go have some crown and ginger right about now,.....I think I have earned it for the day.

You guys and girls be safe this weekend. Wear your seatbelts,...it could save your life. **** happend soo friggin fast.

PS. My cadillac battery was dead when I got to it(sucked,..had to borrow someones charger)....oh,...and I also partially ripped a garage door off at there old warehouse wth the fork lift as I was putting the trailerback in place. I gave enougg room for the van blocking the forklift to get out,..then I got a phone call....wasn't paying attention...got off the phone,..and backed up the forklift,..and hit the low hanging garage door.

lol. It ripped it out like 3 feet, and out of the tracks. I wasn't laughing. I pried the ends back in,....the pretty much just did squats up against the door so I could bend it back in place. Which I did. Holy **** that sucked. It works now but, there is a mild crease in the door.

My uncle quiet possibly will threaten my life.

Anyways,..peace out.

-J....soon to be dead guy.

Thinking this morning of the ride in the car yesterday, and my first impressions,...i'd say that the NEW setup, feels way more responsive then my last. Much more power under the curve, or atleast thats how it felt.

When I bolted on the procharger, slow speeds the car felt almost slower then my heads and cam setup(under 3k rpm). Now, with the two compressors, I must say the car is more responsive then the procharger setup I was running,...which I believe to be the best configuration possible for that setup.
