Quarter mile estimate on a Z06
I ran last friday in 93* weather (TP @ 22psi, 295 firehawks) and the first run i was paired up with a outlaw car and he was a few cars ahead of me when i got in third and then i saw him lose control and come in my lane so i slam on the brakes and run a 17.3 at 53mph. Anyway, next run i get paired up with a POS integra and spin off the line feathering it till i get traction (in competition mode) and shift into second and spin in all of second and finally i get hooked up in third and still manage a 13.4, but my trap speed was actually a 111mph run. (Integra ran a 16.5) I was wondering what a 111mph trap shoud be hooking up properly, i have a 2001 Z06 with Vararam, no tune yet (have to buy a couple credits for my HPTuner). Shortly after as i cranked it up to run again a check engine light was set. The check engine light was a PO171 (Lean AFR) at 1600rpm, I understand, 100mph wind pressure pass the MAF will probly cause that, not being tuned and all.. I was throwing out i probly could run a 12.8 with traction maybe better??? The vararam instructions say it takes a while for the pcm to figure out fuel calculations, but i am gonna tune it instead of wait for it to figure itself out, if it is capable of that..
(Next track day ill have kooks longtubes, catted x-pipe, magnaflow axle back with tune)

According to Motor Trend I think the 01 C5Z ran a 12.8 so anything with in that range should be good. Thats with a professional driver to. Stock C5's are in the low range 13.1-13.3 Keep up the good work!

Just as a a point of reference in case anyone didn't already know this...I think the quickest recorded ET for a bone stock 2001 Z06 is around 12.0 at over 114mph.
The quickest of the 2002-2004s is in the 11.7/11.8 range at around 116-117mph.
All in good air of course.

Keep in mind that those same car magazines only ran 12.3s-12.7s in their stock C5 Z06s as well yet the actual owners of the cars beat them considerably, same applies to the current cars.
In private hands the stock C6 Z06 is NOT running only 11.6s-12.0s...more like 10.9s - 11.3s at over 129mph.
