c6 zo6 question

I have a 2006 c6 zo6, the car makes a hard thumping sound when the car is under load or when im racing it, mostly the sound comes when i'm shifting from first to second at high rpm. The sound seems to be coming somwhere close to the transmission. The car barley has 4000 miles, took it to the dealer and they said it was normal. If anybody could help that would be awesome. Just wanted to see if it really was normal or if something is wrong.

I'm thinking that's called wheel hop, and it's no-no.

better be careful... 2006s are known for eating halfshafts occured during bad wheel hopping and hard shifting from 1st to 2nd.

Either bad wheel hop,...very possible.

Or.

With 4000 miles,..I'd venture to say that something MIGHT BE LOOSE. Possibly. It is possible for a bolt to of NOT been tightened from the factory,...or a mount to be loose,...or something.

Most likely wheelhop,..since it's on your 1-2 shift but,...wouldn't hurt to be sure.

thanks guys, i appreciate your guys help,i kinda thought it might of been wheel hop, but i did not know for sure .if there anyway you guys know how to eliminate wheel hop on my c6 zo6 that would be great,thanks again.

i was going 70mph and started hearing a bad thumping noise from the roof.. before i could stop. this is what happened

i took my c6 zo6 to west coast corvettes, to procharge it ,and they didnt want to touch it ,because they said people were blowing up there engines, they said the max you can boost is 3psi,does anybody know anything about that.
