I recently installed a vararam on my car but do not have any #s for it yet. I made the choice based on an the majority of recommendation's by the guys/gals on here and CF.

All I have is the Ziptie mod (Removed the Airbox lid and held in the filter with zipties)

and I made 385whp/368rwtq with only that and a Tune.

expect 2-4mph in the quarter mile with a VARARAM. Expect little gained on the dyno with the vararam.

i have been searching on this topic for my 02 Z06. Here is what i have found

vararam = the biggest improvement in the 1/4. The most popular on the vette forums. BUT its fit and finish are not so good. Some have reported problems with water getting up to the filter / some say they have never had a problem though. Good bang for the buck.

honker = the best fit and finish on the market. Makes great power on the dyno. It cost a lot more than the other kits out there by 100 bucks. Some report it sucks in hot air from the rad. at idle/stopped in traffic/stagging lanes/etc. A lot of tuners use them on their turn key cars

I am going with the callaway honker kit. The fit and finish alone is worth the extra money for ME. The kit makes good power also.

My vararam hydro locked my motor in about of foot of standing water in an intersection where the mother side had a sharp dip. $350 for a vararam and $500 for a new LS2 well....... that my deductable and they wont swap in an LS3 if I pay the difference
