The Fast will likely outperform the Vic Jr. on the street due to superior low speed torque production on a stock displacement bottom end.
That theory may swing the other way on a big cube motor though...

Did you miss my pics in the prior post? has the info you want minus the hood of your choice. It's on my Z06. I am going to a better mid height elbow from edelbrock as it's an engineered piece and will flow much better. there is another thread going somewhere on the site covering this stuf in detail and is pretty recent like the last week/days. Much info there, might be in the engines section?

No Robert, I didn't. I should have been a little more detailed I guess. YOu have a different elbow than I have I believe. Yours is even lower it appears. This is what I came across,..and have debated about using in the future.

I really don't want to buy a new hood now but I have always needed to after the nitrous backfire. I like the simple look of the RK sport 1 inch cowl. I also like the MDMC but,...it's stupid expensive for me right now,...and not a needed item to get me where I need too.

I'll look for the vic junior build you speak of.

Thanks.

You'll need a mondo tall hood for that style elbow. besides, if you have'nt bought an elbow yet get an engineered piece from edelbrock as they have three heights and an internal divider to combat the lean front cylinder issues that some have with the sheet metal elbows. the sheet metal elbows were/are a stop gap item but no longer needed imo. Wilson also makes a nice 90° cast elbow. Also, over at nitrousforum.com there are two threads one on Vic Jr installs and one dedicated to the elbows. not sure if the elbow one has been updated with the latest info, but the thread on here elsewhere has. I need a hood too, lol, as the mid height cast elbow from edelbrock will need it, but their ultra low elbow may not if you don't mind giving up a little flow.

Good info.

I grabbed a vic jr and the pictured elbow off a friend who was selling it. I bought it on impulse, as I knew I could always resell it if needed. This pictured setup was on a GTO(ls2).Obvioudly alot more room then us.

I'll have to look into the edelbrock elbows for sure. Worse case senerio,....I sell my fast and my vic,...and buy something else.

I'll see if I can find the elbow info on the nitrous page. Thanks Robert.
