Just heard some News on the C6 Hey guys, I just heard from my manager at a GM dealership that GM has certified a C6 and is going into production soon. It will have a 400hp 6.0L for the standard vette and pictures will soon be released. My boss heard this from a plant worker at the bowling green plant today. just incase U guys hadnt heard the news. if you did sorry for the repeat.

I have heard the base model C6 will get an all aluminum 6.0 and the Z06 will get a 6.4 all aluminum power plant.

Re: Just heard some News on the C6 I have also heard that they are working hard on more weight loss. Like hydroformed ALUMINUM frame rails instead of steel. I think that is what the XLR uses so I am thinking the car may loose another 200lbs....it would be nice!!!

I have a heads and cam car that is really fast and I just cant see selling cars this fast. (not complaining just thinking reasonable)

Re: Just heard some News on the C6 I doubt it'll get a "factory" based aluminum 7.0L. I have a hard time believing it'll get anything extra-ordinarily large, with 500+hp. That just isnt what GM wants to do with these cars. I'd say a 6.0 - 6.6L would do the trick, yet still give good economy, and probably have enough extra "umph" to scale a few snakes...
