Default Line Lock for C5

Who makes a nice easy install line-lock kit for the C5 Corvette? I have been looking and found nothing. Thanks!

cartek makes a really nice setup. You have to call them up. All I had to do was do the wiring. Just take out the old line from the master to the EBCM and install the new one.

That is what I have on my car. It is a real trick piece.

I have run Roger Vinci's (Vinci High Performance in Fla.) since 2001 in my C5 with no problems!

The cartek piece is overpriced... Go with the Fastbird LL you won't be disappointed... not only does it work very well, but it was a very simple install, extremely affordable, and looks pretty good under the hood.

I had a SLP linelock on my FRC and it worked great and wasn't expensive.

I looked at the Cartek at first and then Fastbirds came along and bought it. No regrets to this day and he can get cool panels as well for the ash tray.

Cartek's kit is a complete and fully assembled/ready to bolt in kit.
It is widely regarded among Corvette racers as the best line lock system for late model Corvettes.

It's a device (solenoids and lines) installed around the master cylinder/braking area under the hood (with a switch activated from inside the car) that's used to hold the front wheels locked with the brakes while the rears are allowed to spin freely and reducing rear brake wear and stress on the driveline.
Here's an often used description:
Used primarily for drag racing to provide positive locking action to the front wheels of race cars, reducing the chance of ''Rolling the Lights'' and producing more effective burn outs for heating up the tires.

I'm going to chime in on this for just as quick second. As far as I know there are only two big players in the C5/C6 line lock market, that being Cartek and Myself. You really can't go wrong with either kit. They both do the same thing in the same manner. Cartek is more expensive than myself ($250), but offers an easier installation. I do things a little differently than them and keep the costs down ($150). Either way you go, you can't go wrong.

Check out our line locks at http://www.cartekracing.com/Products...s/LineLock.htm

As if now its $224 shipped to your door. We will be posting up some specials shortly.

Our kit is very easy to install, it replaces the OEM line with a direct fit. No bending or flaring of any lines...all you have to is wire up the switch provided and bleed the front brakes.

If you're interested give us a call.
