Well everybody other than NOS says its a 400 but its a NOS direct port and they say a 28=250, 32=300 36=350 40=400 I'm running a 28f 34n so i guess its a 325 shot

Probably 325 at least to the tires, 400 at the crank I'd figure.

Either way, that's a healthy hit and it's running good. How much are you progressing it and for how long, going by the video you're not hitting that 100% out of the gates.

I'm having issues with it leaving right now there is no delay starts at 20% and ramp to 100% in 1.0 sec but evey log i have there is about a .2 delay from WOT to the hit

I was having the same problem awhile back and i think it was due to to low of timming untill the gas came in, I added timming upto 4500rpm and it almost went on the bumper so next time out we will try this again because right now it only has 13.5* and the motor just cant make power with that with out the gas

Intresting you find that to be the case, I noticed my car hits way harder with a little more timing in it then it did with less.

Good luck with it, sounds like you've for a 5.5x in it when you have it all sorted out, which by the way is disgusting for a car that's that heavy.

I think we are saying the same thing here, My car with little timming doesnt hit hard it leaves dead at first the one time i did put timming in it at the hit it almost went on the bumper. Example now it has 13.5* on the launch and it doesnt leave hard but when i almost went on the bumper it had 22* all the way to 4400rpm then it came back to 14*
I think when the timming it at 13-14 on the hit it is still on motor for about .2 tenth and just doesnt make any power untill the fuel comes in from the nitrous

I've seen the same thing. I have an nos 90mm plate setup on my car and with a single 65 nitrous jet @ x amount of timing it always seemed to have a little bit of a delay, car was leaving o.k., we added a little bit of timing to it and I noticed the hit is alot quicker now, to the point that it made the car spin off the transbrake more then it has in a long time, I have been thinking it was the track but after looking at things again I'm thinking it could have been the slight delay being removed from the picture.

I also noticed that I had alot more power down low, throttle response was alot crisper pulling up to the burnout box, car broke the tires loose with less of a whack to the throttle, that type of thing.

Maybe just try rolling in a degree or 2 @ the hit up to 4400 then bring it back to where you had it. Probably need to play with it to get it just right, the bumper drag's make for good pictures/video but can get expensive real quick if ya don't catch it just right and get it to come back down easy.

I got lucky this past spring when I did that... and have been overly cautious ever since to a fault I think.

The timing comes out instantly and it takes a split second for the nitrous to hit the valve.
So you are trying to leave on 13* of timing with no notrous. We put a bunch down low to help flash the converter and keep the plugs clean then taper it out.

Its even longer of a delay for you JL (plate kit) than a direct port.
line length and noid placement have an effect also.

I have the lines as short after the noids as they could be, which did help it was bad before I put the shorter lines on.

I'm gonna change to another setup before it gets run again, wether it be a carb style plate on top of a single plane or a DP, haven't decided yet.

hey man that car is flying! if u dont mind me asking, what kind of suspension are u running on that car? does it have everything? (shocks, sfc,etc..). the reason im askin is i have a simular setup but i cannot get my car to hook. it wants to raise the rear up when it leaves. i have stock shocks on the rear, but qa1's on the front.

qa1's all the way around, a custom long tq arm, rear lower control arm and a BMR drag sway bar and SFC i thinks thats it

On the first two passes, looks a little bouncy on the rebound. Looks like you got it down as I would have tightened up the front 1 or 2 clicks. Looks and runs bad ***!
