Results are in! Can't say I'm entirely thrilled but happy I made it in the 11 second club. Hit the track last night and ran a 11.91 at 114.8 with a 1.65/60 ft(against a black ZO6). The previous problem with the fuel pump and O2s was completely eliminated but still hit the rev limiter bad! On my second run, I hit a 12.0 at 114.4 and a 1.7/60ft. Now lets keep in mind this is on a nitrous tuning. The car will be going in for retuning and adjustment of the rev limiter/shift points this afternoon. Will be hitting the track Friday night to spray a little juice!!

Here are the vids(and sorry for the horrible cameraman my brother was drunk)
first run: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vflLiMKGVZk

second run(you hear it better hitting the rev limiter): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vflLiMKGVZk

That's more like it, i'm sure with a motor tune you can probably squeeze in a few more mph on that. Where are you running at, i figured with MS3 and supporting mods you'd be closer to 11.7 or so. Nice 60 ft, throw that shot on and go for 10 's

I did go to the track but decided not to spray after running the first run on motor and the rev limiter hit (AGAIN) from 1-2 gear. I called the guy who built and tuned my motor and he advised me not to spray till we get it right! That sucked so bad! I did however spray it before I got to the track on the highway and it felt awesome(a 125 shot and it didn't hit the rev)! As soon as I got to the track I changed the pills for a 150 shot but wasn't able to make it! I ran a 12.01 at 113.96 mph with a 1.65/60 ft. Unfortunately the track won't be open till the 18th and I can't wait!

So the tuning on my car has been an ongoing process and we finally solved the shift points situation(hitting the rev limiter)! I went to the track this past wednesday and did a motor run first hitting a 12.23 at 112.45 mph(not too thrilled with times on motor). Rev limiter was set at 6700 and shift points were all at 6100; timing was pulled on the motor. Second run I decided it was time to spray(150 shot) and hit a 11.30 at 121.15 mph with a 1.75/60 ft; the spray was set at 3200 to 6400 rpms with a rpm window switch. Weather conditions were windy and kinda humid. I can honestly say I am still not satisfied! This H/C combo should have more in it and my tuner agrees. We'll be going to the track tonight to do some onsite tuning at the track! Hopefully its cold tonight like it was last night(I could sure use that cold air).

Man you really need to look at your tune more and get those shift point up. I am running a H/C/I combo close to yours and here are my slips from this past Saturday. Mind you these are all motor runs. I have not got N2O on my car.

I did a few logs of my runs Sat and I am getting a little KR off the line about .5.I run 26 deg. total timing in my car also. Rev limiter set at 6900 shift points at 6700. I do have a SS4000 Yank stall also.Same heads and a Torquer 2 cam. I have Pacesetter LTand ORY, and a self ported FAST92/92.

I just noticed that your car is a 98. I hear those are very tricky to tune.

Holy sh*t dude! Those are the #'s I want! I'm definitely telling my tuner to bring up the shift points! I was advised by a friend to set the rev limiter at 7100 and shift points at 6800. What do you guys think about this?

That sounds about right for the MS3. Set the Rev Limiter at 7100-7200 and shift at 6700-6800.
That cam doesnt peak until 6400rpms & keeps pulling all the way to 6800+rpms.
Thats the reason why you're not trapping as high as youre suppose to. At 6100rpms youre shifting WAY too soon for that cam!!!

I don't really understand why you are going with a "nitrous tune" when you are only spraying a 150 shot. People do that all the time with bone-stock motors.

Your 114.xx mph would put you at about 11.65ish with an excellent launch and perfect shifts. You are 3 tenths off of that which is huge for a stalled auto. I think your stall is too weak for a h/c car, and you aren't spinning it high enough. I think you have most of the combo you need to run some numbers, but a little tweak on the tune and a more aggresive stall will get you where you want to be.

F*ck it! Shift points are goin up ready for tomorrow night! Oh and the nitrous tune was to be on the safe side just following advice(but we'll see that might change). Now for the stall I was being conservative cuz of my stock rear end but the hell with it! Now I'm definitely gonna upgrade to at least a 4000 stall.

Oh wow yeah I definitly didn't notice how low your shift points were, duh. yeah definitly need to let her run all the way up to peak. can't wait to see some results after you open her up and let her run all the way up to 6800.

This is your cams specs right here:

2300-6800 RPM Power Band with a peak around 6400rpm; This is an excellent performance camshaft with a rough idle! Custom tuning required
Shift that bitch at 67-6800, just after it peaks.

Rev limiter is now set at 7100 and shift points at 6800 but now the problem is that the damn track is closed till March 11th!
