Default Little bit disappointed.

Well I got my car to the track finally. First time to make a full 1/4 pass..
Mods:
370 (9:1 comp.)
TEA stg 2 LS6 heads
Ls6 intake
232/240 EPP cam
FMIC
3:73 12 bolt
The car made 683rwhp @11psi D1SC
Race weight is 3650

Im glad I finally got a clean pass out of it, but Im still not happy. The car went sideways pretty good all the way through 1st. I think the car should run a lot quicker. What do you guys think?

60' 1.77
330 4.84
1/8 7.33
mph 102.13
1000 9.47
1/4 11.22
mph 130.08

Seems to me like you should have been able to pull a 10 out of that thing, but that's just me. Do you have any suspension mods? What kind of tires are you running?

W / a 1.77 60ft time it seem's like it was not spinning that bad but if you can get in the 1.5's you will be in the 10's.

car picked up 28mph on the back half...it's definately making power. get the car to stick and it will pick up mph as well as drop et. even with a lackluster 1.6-1.7 60', it will still be loads quicker if it doesn't spin when pulling through the gears.

Your 60ft. is weak, work on that traction issue, 130 mph trap is good for a VERY low 10, if not a 9.99, so don't be too disapointed, alittle spin will give you a tad more mph, but in your case gaining as much as 28 in the last 660, you spun pretty bad in the 1st. half, so you lost mph, plus your 60fts should be in the 1.4s with that HP, get some traction & you'll be in the low 10s easy.

This is a 6 speed car too. Didnt mention that. Yeah I think it has a mid 10 in it. Just got to get it to hook. I have LCAs, SFCs, PHB, UMI T/A. I need a rear drag sway bar BAD. My friends said it was twisting pretty good off the line.. Also need some coilovers because I am running lowering springs and bilsteins in the front (which is probably limiting my shock travel big time). I was using 325/50/15 MT ET Radials. I think I am going to try a slick or ET street.

If you think the clutch and transmission are up to it by pass the ET Streets and go straight to Slicks. Your car is going to produce a 10 secnond time slip in the future.

I would not be disappointed by any means! Get the car to 60 foot which the slicks will give you that and the 10 second time zone is yours.

Good Luck!!

Some slicks and you'll be sub 10.50's in no time! That's a lot of power. front sway bar removed yet?

Get a real tire on there, and something to stiffen the rear so when you leave harder it wont bounce off the rear and a stiff sway bar to stop the right side mush.

At this point this car is making power. Your also NEED to cut some weight out of it.

Yeah man, I'd say go straight for the slicks. Good luck, let us know if you ever get a 10 out of it, which I don't see taking very long BTW.

Yeah it is a fun ride no doubt. I can already tell that I wanna go even faster once I get this combo dialed in. Im thinking F-1 and an auto for the next round.

F-1 + TH400 on the T-brake = hold on for dear life.

Definitely need to go with a rear sway bar. Take a look at BMR's Xtreme Sway Bar. That will help you launch straight and plant those tires by eliminating body roll. The radials should mph better if you can get the suspension dialed in and get them to hook. The slicks are a little more forgiving if your suspension is not completely dialed in. Good luck and keep us posted.

As mentioned, a slick and some more seat time should net you mid tens. Radials can be very touchy on sticks since the sidewall doesn't "give" like slicks will to allow the shock when you drop/ride the clutch on launch.

Good luck, sounds like a good ride!
