Default H/C/I Ls1 runs 7.7 in the 1/8 mile whats wrong?

My 98 TA has the following mods and seems to be running good but i know my times should be faster....

7.7 @ 1/8mile 88mph with a 1.63 60ft.
Ls6 Patriot performance heads
Torquer v2 cam
ss4000 yank converter
stock 10 bolt with 3.23
Ls6 Intake
Built Transmission
stage 3 shift kit
full exhaust
Full weight
stock suspension

What could be the problem maybe the suspension or could it be the mail order tune?

hmm, that is a little strange. The 60' isnt that bad but the mph isnt there that backs up the power you should be making. The car needs more gear but it still should trap over 88. Im thinking either your tune is way off or you have tranny issues.

I don't think suspension would be that big of a problem...My car pulls 1.45s easy with Eibach Sportlines and all stock suspension except LCA relocation brackets.

But, I agree, get a real tune.... have you ever had it dynoed?

yes a bigger stall will "soften" the way the shifts feel. other than that, gears, no tune and full weight are the problem

I'm thinking that it's in the tune as well. Something is not right. Suspension work will help the 60' but your 60' times are not Horrid... but could use some improvement.

Problem has to be in the tune with either the shift points or converter lock up points or it has to be the tranny.

yeah thats what I was thinking because from low punch it stick at 5000 for a bit then it will start pulling and sometimes from a 70 punch it wont downshift at all...it will go to like 4000 then back to lockup.when i slow down and try it again like at 65 it works fine.

You have alot of mods for not having a real tune, your 60' is good...I ran a 7.7@89.8 1.77 60' on junk parts untuned.

there is a shop in longview I'm not sure if they're a sponsor so you can pm me if you'd like to know and can't find it on your own

I've heard good things about them, and will either be letting him do my real tune or go to OKC, there are a couple good shops up there
