wayy slower than i expected
ok so you can see the power im making in my sig, i went to the track almost a month ago and was kind of disappointed. the best time i could muster was a 12.7 @ 112. however this was with a 2.2 60' on some shitty tires and there was a 17mph headwind with gusts up to 30mph. the temps were in the mid/upper 70's and iirc the humidity was pretty high. does the wind make THAT much of a difference. i was expecting low 12's high 11's on these shitty tires with a much better mph.

the wind will have an effect... but not that much..
did you have an ancor behind your car? 112mph can be done with a stock F-Body, hell I ran 112.28 stock.
What does your car weight?
What did you shift at?
chirping the tires is not a sign of a good driver, its a sign of poor traction or letting your RPM deviate too much either up or down on the shift from where it should be.
With 480HP, and an avarage race weight, on a good tire, and a good driver, you should be close to 125mph+ 70F is not that hot. But the Baro Pressure also makes a huge difference.
Honestly, The only thing you need, in my oppinion, is more practice. Keep going back to the track over and over, get a good tire, and keep running the car. You will learn it, and your times will improve substantialy. Keep at it!

im shifting close to 7k, its kind of hard to tell because i know the stock tach is wayy off. but i have a shift light. and im not sure what the car weighs, but with a 6point and a 9" and all the factory creature comforts im sure its not too light. the baro pressure was just over 30.01 according to the local weather channel, and the humidity was in the 80% something range iirc. i know chirping tires has nothign to do with driving, thats just how shitty they were haha.

is that with weight reduction? my car is a '00 running 106mph if i beat it maybe 108. im curious to know if you were lucky enough to get a ls6 block. because the only thing your car has on mine is the LS6 intake. i have the bigger '00 vs '01 cam, same heads, same exhaust. i only have 41k miles too. crazy times

I had the back seats out, no jack, no spare..
This was at a good track, but my 60' was still an 2.01 on that pass.
I must correct myself, I did have an K&N Filter air filter, but I have seen people run 110+ with paper air filter.
Car did not have an LS6 block. I was not lucky enough...
Back to the O.P. Like someone said before, either his dyno numbers are wrong, or something is messed up. When myc armade 396HP I trapped 122. When I had 450HP, I trapped 128. Now tiah 507HP, I trap 132.
With 470+hp, to be at 112... something is reaaaaaaaaly wrong. 112 is 320hp trap speed with a good driver.
Maybe false knock? who knows, but either that car never made 470hp, or something went seriosly wrong since it was dyno'd
