Default New PB and finally broke into the 11s w/vid!

The car is a cam only m6 with all supporting mods, full suspension, and a little weight reduction. I ran a new personal best of 11.995@116.56 with 1.75 60'. I believe the car still has alot left in it with some more suspension tuning. Big thanks to Larry and the guys at Speed Inc and Tom G (ndfrsd6) for all the help. Here's a vid of the 11.99 pass. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7c9pIsyWa30

do a little bigger burnout, up the launch rpms or put some more psi in the tires, and you need more rear gear in it. like 4.30 is my guess.

good times though.

Thanks, I actually have 4.30s in the rear I just forgot to edit my sig and your right I need to launch a little higher but it was late in the day and the track was closing. My hand also came off the momentary for the line-lock that's why my burnout was so short.

Thanks, yeah I just read your PB thread yesterday and I'll take all the tips I can get. Hopefully when Tom (ndfrsd6) gets his convertor back we can all meet up at Byron. I'd love to see your car in action. Great times btw, with 4.56s and a bigger tire you be in the 10s for sure!!!

interesting. What are the rpms across the finish line and where do you shift and where is your rev limiter? 28inch tire?

Darren finally getting the car to go ! awesome ! next time out well get it there , car can defiantly handle more rpm out of the hole its just finding the tire pressure for the track but in cool air and tweaking i see .4 there easily just in the 60

glad to help next time out will be better

Not sure what rpm I'm going through the traps at? I'll have to pay more attention next time out. I had my hands full on that pass b/c my seat bracket broke and slid the seat seat back so I could barely reach the gas pedal. I shift at 6700 and the rev limiter is set a 7000. All passes were on 28x10.50-15 stiffwall ET Drags. I think I just need a little more seat time and I need to find the right shock settings and tire psi so I can launch higher.

Thanks again Tom, my car is finally showing some nice progress. It wouldn't be possible without help from you and Larry. Big props to both of you!!!!

glad it's coming around

I strongly suggest a launch controller to be certain you leave at the same RPM and on the carpet every pass. The car really needs RPM and run 15-17 hot in the tires next time and see how that works.

Thanks Larry, again you and Tom are the two major contributing factors to how the car is comming along. I was just talking to Tom yesterday about getting a 2-step. I think that will be the next mod. Tires on that last run were about 10psi cold. We started at around 19-20psi hot and worked are way down until the car started to hook. At around 10-11psi cold/12.5-13psi hot the car really started to come around. It would make about 1/2 to 1 full revolution on the launch and go. I think the biggest reason why it fell on its face was that I was only coming out at around 5500rpm on that pass. I think next time around I'll try to get the 2-step, start at 15psi cold, and launch at around 6000-6500. Oh yeah and I'll definately fix my seat bracket so I'm not driving the car from the hatch.

Definately, I'll be ordering the LPE 2-step from you guys in a few weeks. I do have a question though, do I need the LNC-002 or the LNC-003?

Kick ***!! Look's like your shocks and those stiffwalls really helped you launch!! Almost got them both off the ground Hopefully next time I'll be heading up there with you in my own car and show you how it's done

Thanks, yep your right they're both in the air. I agree with you too. I think with some minor adjustments in cooler air it should go 11.7x maybe even 11.6x.
