Default Progress Update!

Just wanted to update you guys on the car that i purchase off of here in February. Here is what the car looked like when it was purchased from a member in Texas.

With the new ProLine Race Engines 427 sbc

And a pic of the car on the starting line

Still got alot left in the car, this is on a small tune up so we are very optimistic with the car now after some minor changes. Here is a link to a run from this past weekend. By the way, the entire chassis was built and set up by non other than Madman & Co Racing. I havent had to hardly touch it since i got the car.

i really dont remember who I actually purchased the car from to be honest with you...they are billet specialties wheels that i bought and then sent out to champion wheels in california and had them beadlocked. I think they turned out nice. I got a buddy who took some pics of it at the last race that im going to try to weasel some pics from him. If i get them i will post them up. thanks for the compliments

Latest update on the car. We set a new personal best with the car this past weekend. The last pass the car was on high .20 pass but the WOT switch was cuttin in and out on me and it still went a 5.32. We still have the smallest pills in the plate too. We think we can go mid 20's with the tune-up in the car right now before we have to start putting the big pills in.

Best ET - 5.32 @ 132 mph
60 ft. - 1.22

By the way, if anyone is interested, I am puttin the beadlocks up for sale. They are billet specialties streetlite wheels for an F-body. They were then sent out to Champion wheels in california to have the light weight CWI black beadlocks put on the outside of them. They are less than 6 months old. They will fit a factory f-body. I have $1300 invested in these wheels and I wont take a penny less than $1,000 for the set of em. They are some badass wheels. I think we are gonna swap to minitubs during the off season and shorten the rear end. I will post some pics of them as soon as I get em out of the trailer from this weekend.

Thanks guys....now we are going after that elusive 5.20 pass. We had it in the bag, damn microswitch. We gonna shed some weight on the car and see what we cant do when we put the big pills in.

That is one sweet car!

I just don't get 1/8th racing. I guess if it is the only track you have around but that car is so awesome seems like a waist to spank it for such a short distance.

If it makes you feel any better, at the last track i was at I ran a 5.43 @ 132 and shut the car off at the 1/8th mile. It coasted to a 8.86 @ 120 mph.

That is sick, just seems like 1/8th is over as it begins event in my mid 13sec truck. I run 8s in the 18th and i wouldn't want to turn it off then! Oh well like I said your car is sick but for me I would run anything especially something that fast a full 1/4 if at all possible.
