Unhappy 1st trip to track after converter

My car is a 02 ss. The car ran a best of 12.87@106 w/ 2.00 60 ft prior to the converter. Mods are a pt4000, tune(before converter), phb, lca, relocation brackets, and I ran on sumitomo street tires. It was a peferct day, about 50* and mostly sunny. Track temps were 72*, I think they only check in staging area. Not sure what the DA was, but san antonio raceway is 600'. My guess would be a negative DA. The car ran very strong on the big end, but I couldn't launch the car to save my life. Best 60' was 2.08, and most avereaged around 2.20ish. At WOT any time during first gear and at the 1-2 shift produced a great smoke show. With a slick or drag radial I feel like the car would go low 12''s possibly high 11's.

60'-2.1782
330'-5.5143
1/8-.83278 @87.18
1000'-10.7594
1/4-12.8092@112.39

Get some D/R's and go back to the track, Your 60' time is horrible. With that trap a low 12 is very possible.

-Good Luck

what were you expecting running on street tires? Sumitomos at that.

Converter and street tires equal unsafe! As already stated get some tires and go back to the track should be a good ET and MPH with the correct tires!!

Be safe and have fun with the new found power!

Make sure you buy real DR's. Not Nitto's.
