I voted middle of the road.
I runnered up the first points race of the year in pro. The next weekend I went to a big footbrake race and kicked a rod out of the oil pan in my race car. I decided to try bracket racing my trans am, and did fairly well. I ran both sportsman and pro in the trans am and wound up getting 4 more runner ups, between the 2 classes. I finished 5th in pro and 3rd in sportsman points, and would have been track champion in sportsman but i missed the first 2 races. I went red the first round of sportsman at the bracket finals, and made 3 rounds in pro before losing a close race. I have had better years, but i have also had much worse.
My goals are to get my race car going in the off season, and next year see a win light in the final round. I also want to be track champion in pro and sportsman....one can dream right?

I voted Best year ever.
I didn't do as well as I wanted to in our local points, but I managed to squeeze into the points team barely because Coach was unable to make the Bracket Finals. Thanks again Coach
We did win 3 bracket races this year at other Texas tracks and runnered up a few times in the local index races.
All of our cars ran NPB ETs. We kept the blue car off the bumper and hooking solid all year. It ran deadly consistent.
2010 should be even better. We learned a lot and met a lot of great people that we race with.

It was middle of the road for me. I got the LS1 swap completed and a few other personal goals I accomplished this year, but as they say on Pass Time, I had a "catastrophic failure". LOL.... ![Grin](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)

-Install LS1 Swap and get it tuned,,,,,, +Check
-Get a rollbar installed,,,,, +Check
-Run a low eleven N/A @ 125+mph,,,,, +Check
-Lift the front tires off the ground w/6speed,,,, +Check
-Finish the season without breaking,,,, -Failed![Bang Head](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_banghead.gif)
Ended up putting a connecting rod through the Darton Sleeved block on the last race of the season. There goes 3 grand+ out the window,,,, literally, the block has a nice connecting rod shaped window in it right through the main oil galley.
Anyone need some Darton MID sleeves for cylinders 1,2,5,6,7, and 8? Cylinders 3 and 4 got ate by the whipping big end of the rod. ![Sad](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_sad.gif)
Now I'm bulding an iron block forged 370 and changing some things for next year. Hoping to run a N/A mid 10 sec time next year with the 6 speed.

It was a good one for me. I won another Texas Pro Stock race and ran a new PB in the truck with a 4.72@146.9, still gaining on it. Also picked me up a new bracket car, 58 Corvette roadster and went a lot of rounds in it for no more than I took it out. All in all, I won more money than I ever have but it definitely came with spending more.

I voted best season ever by a little bit.
My girlfriend and I ran the ET bracket races in Seattle. She runs Sportsman 12.7's and I run Pro 12.0's. In one race we both ended up in the finals and both of us got runner up. Oh well we were in the finals together. I had car problems for 3 races before I got it fixed and started kicking ***. I finished 2nd for the season in Pro and my GF finished 8th in sportsman. She raced in one Car Club race and took 1st place. Not bad for her first year of racing the points race. We both got to race at the ET finals and I got to race in the Race of Champs. We only went a few rounds there but had fun racing together. All in all it was better then 2005 when I won the Car Club Challenge Championship and finished 5th in Pro bracket.

Didnt race at all in 2009. To busy to build a shop car more less race it.
2010 is gonna be a different story. I am, throwing together a 1999 SS with a full Burkhart suspension, HKE 12:1 408, TH400, Narrowed 9". Running it on nuts alone this year. Dont have the time to do the turbo setup I want. That will be the 2010 Winter project.

2009 was the first year the car has been on the road since I blew the BBC on drag week back in 2006. The camaro spend most of the time on jack stands during the summer fixing issues. I only went to the tack twice and that was late in the year. I am stalling Dart Pro heads over winter. Hope to have all the bugs out by spring.
I did take the car out on the 2009 poer tour!

Meh Glad to say goodbye to 2009
Made a total of 22 passes all year..
Blew one clutch, one rear.. Lost a strut mount on the way to the track... Got rained out anytime I was off work..
Gained at total of 0.1 in the PB department after a bunch of work..
Looking to 2010 for the work to pay off and have some fun again
