MPH down...any ideas?
First off, 99 A4 Formula, 3.23 rear, only mod is a lid/filter, dyno tuned at 312whp/330wtq a week and a half ago.
Best time was 13.60 @ 102.6x I believe, with a 2.1x 60'. That was my first pass of the day and it didn't get any better from there.
Got my 60' down to a 2.04 but the MPH never hit 102.x again, ranged from 100.x to 101.x, no matter hot or cold. Ran about a dozen times, ET was 13.60-13.76...
Any ideas? Car has 85k on it, and I've only done fluid changes/brakes changes and the lid/filter since I bought it last month.
I thought I should be trapping like 105-108mph or so?....
Thanks in advance...

Thanks for your input though.
And is DA density altitude? If so I believe it was around 1275 feet in the morning and 1815 feet in the afternoon around my last run?
I dunno, I just googled it and found this website, located my track/day I went...? http://www.dragtimes.com/da-density-...ect+ET+and+MPH
Just had the car scanned, no knock whatsoever, no misses, or anything to mention, guess the cars running well.
One more question I had was about that website, dragtimes.com, it says to put in your et/trap speed and it will calculate a "corrected" time/speed, what is this? Is it saying that's what my car should run if DA wasn't an issue?
Thanks

get those headers on and bump rev limiter to 6300 and shift at 6000.
my stock ls1 was shifting at 6300 with a 6500 rev limit ...full bolt-ons, loved it.

I'll ask my tuner to increase the shift points, what can the motor rev to safe stock? Like is 6500 safe?

Shift tuning is not done by asking your tuner, its done by going to the track and feeling it out, or just by bumping it up 100-200 rpms at a time and see where you get.
My girlfriends 99 car short shifted bad on the 1-2 shift, like 5600 even on a stock motor this felt bad to me. We had it tuned and I told the guy to bump it all up 200 rpms,.....it feels better now.
on my car I've made about 10 changes to shift timing, its about right now but my car is heads cam stall, etc.

not saying you cannot pop these motors, but they are very tough is taken care of. These motors like to drink oil out of the pcv so make sure to check oil often
Another thing that didn't help is I had a FULL tank of gas when I went to the track, so I'm sure that's another hundred pounds I didn't need, but hopefully next week is better.
Thanks
Matt
