Yea, it's TOTALLY different that just shifting it from a roll race. Just like launching from a dig on the street is WAY different than a dig at the track.
Takes time, and especially time to get it consistant; but it's fun when you get there!
Mine just used to blow the tires off....now it's pretty damn consistant for a 6sp. Especially on a lil 275/50 MT Radial.

Damn what rpm are you slipping it from?? I have a 6 speed and have some pretty worn down 275/50 radials outback. I am going to the track next week (bad prepped one at that) and was just curious. I wasn't expecting better then a 1.7 though haha. Would love to see low 7's in the 1/8th but we shall see what kind of 60' i can pull. I'll have like 12 passes or so to dial in my tire psi, rpm slip, etc atleast.
