Here's my car stock with a catback and DR's
I out 60'd, out trapped in the 8th, out ET'd and clearly have the faster car all the way down the track. Yet he out traps me by 4mph??? Not a chance. BTW the car next to me was a procharged Mustang. He had to trap 92 in the 1/8th to go 116 in the 1/4. How the **** is this guy doing 87 in the 1/8th and almost 116 in the 1/4????

Definitely alot of variables and no one here has any way of proving or dispproving the numbers. Based on my experience at racing and seeing what kind of numbers produce other numbers, the trap speed looks high to me. No problem with people disagreeing, but that's what I believe.
Also, I have not raced at that track, but I've seen the mph be off at the track I run at most. It doesn't happen often, but my brother was trapping like 86 mph in the 1/8 with his basically stock A4 LT1 in the 1/8 and then going the usual 99/100 in the 1/4 one day. The car usually traps around 80 in the 1/8 I believe.

Its not about wat your car did against this car at this or that track on this or that day with this or that DA. Every car is different than the next, especially on different days at different tracks. I agree with alot of you guys, the mph is high for a stock car but its not crazy unbelievable as if it were 120 or sumthin. Thats jus my opinion.

A stock new mustang doing 100 in the 1/8th is next on the list of **** to happen. Wait till they start running at LVD. All the Mustang guys will be screaming that he hit the brakes before the trap!

Yeah the 1/8th traps at LVD get crazy sometimes. Josh did 92mph in the 1/8th one time but only 104 in the 1/4.

But u also have to take into consideration that this was an Auto, yes i know typically with a good driver a stick will trap higher but my point is that this is the very first track report we have seen from the Auto. There is simiply not enough data on it yet to jump to conclusions on what its capable of. Ya never know ford may have created this magic auto that puts down more power to the wheels than a stick. lol
and 6-8mph?? i have not seen one new mustang trap 107. Only a couple test from them morons at the magazines i seen hit 109. The rest have been in the 110-113 range, so lets call it more like 2-5mph

motor week got 116mph out of their automatic 2011 GT as well

I don't doubt the ET, but I believe there was no question a mistake or glitch with the trap speed calculation.
A Challenger R/T owner famously claimed he trapped 108mph and picked up 28mph in the last 1/8th. No frickin' way to that one or this automatic GT.
IF the GT automatic truly has the kavorka or funky cold medina, I'm asking my company if I can drive a two door ASAP......
Looks like I'm keeping my boat.

You know, speaking of Sac........
I remember someone claiming to see multiple C6Zs trap 128mph+ there.
Also when 335i trap speeds were leapfrogging, Sac is where some minor bolt-on and tuned 335i trapped extremely high vs. the competition. JB3 vs. ??
And now this 5.0 auto?

If you read MauriSSo both the owner of the 5.0 and the SS both say that the MPH at that track are known to be off by a few mph. My Friends Bone stock 03 Cobra trapped 117 Bone stock but he was spinning so it = more mph and he only ran a 12.9

its never been off when i race there, have you ever been there? My friends bolt-on cammed LS1 transAm 6 speed only trapped a high of 112mph when he took his car there. If thats on the fast side then what should it be at?
