Yeah 6spd suck to for track times..lol Better your 0to60 and you will be good. I dont know how your not spinning street tires with over 400rwhp. Yeah maybe your trans is slipping that why your not spinning no matter what you need tires

Sometime guys run a poor E/T but MPH is high which shows HP and potential for better E/T. Unfortunately in your case that doesn't seem applicable.

See my sig for full details... but

I got a 11.8 with a 1.8 60ft with lower quality heads, and proabably less power. But the vette's lower weight offsets the power advantage a bit.

If the tranny was slipping I'd expect to see some indications of that on the dyno, especially a mustang since it's got a heavy roller. Have your mech check it out.

Good Luck man.

it could be one of the shift solenoids in the tranny which is why you wouldnt see it on a dyno? its already in its top gear (or should be) on the dyno and your only seeing the outtake in 1 gear maybe when he comes out of the hole the solenoids are acting wierd and not applying the right tranny pressure?? i dunno just some thoughts i would suspect the tranny to being the most likely cause

I would not say the tranny is having problems.i would just try some drag radials first and then go from there.

^Drag radials isn't gonna cure his 6-8 mph loss. If the problem isn't his tranny and/or small converter, he has problems elsewhere: Clogged fuel filter, bad/loose plug wire(s), etc.

If it can make 411 rwhp then there is no way he is not spinning street tires on the track.I did not say it would solve his problem i just said to start there and see what happen's.

Check what the DA was at the time of those runs because from that trap speed your losing power somewhere, either the DA or maybe the tune itself.

trans or converter is toast was the converter new when installed? also trans built at all? I will just about guarantee that is your problem if your not spinning street tires and the car doesn't feel like a rocket out the gate.

Are you 100% sure every spark plug wire is connected from plug to coil? with 7 cylinders i lost nearly 8mph trap speed and 1 full second. with the way these cars run and compensate it can be hard to tell.

Your trannys probably not slipping, or you would be tagging the rev limiter.
Me thinks your stall isn't right for your cam.
Your stall is a 3200 and your cam/head combo isn't building any real power untill after you have passed the 60' mark.
You probably are taking a hit from your smallish stall in your shift extension as well.

Get the trans rebuild send the stall back to Yank and get them to restall it to 3600 should only be around 200. What are you shifting the car at you could be short shifting it. Some 373 gears will help get in the power band faster also.

im with everyone else and say its the tranny. maybe it started to go after ur dyno runs? but even with stock power levels and street tires, a 3200 stall should spin like hell outta the hole. just my opinion, but my car would spin on the stock stall and minor bolt-ons, spin like crazy with full bolt-ons and 3200 vig, now with heads/cam its not even worth trying... i know u said ur converter is new but even new parts are fucked up some times. good luck man.

To the op...
What does your tranny fluid look like?
Is it pink? If its brownish and smells odd then your clutchs are going.
What rpms are you shifting at, 1-2 and 3-4?
During your shift, what does your rpm fall too befor it engages your next gear?
Are you hitting the rev limiter at all?
