ya that 30x9 is the stock... super stock/stock elmintior/top stock..... that type classes. the /stocker/ guys run, they run insanly fast and hook like a **** on that size, with 400-450whp. ls1 have gone 9's on them.
i'd look into keeping that tire size, there is a reason thouse guys run it. i know its the largest tire they can, but still they know what there doing. look into that more, your not racing them so i htink they might tell you some info. i know they guys on here that race the stock cars are, gizmo, ed wright, 1090, tim tosto, there some other too
some of you auto, cam only and stock internal guys that don't have a od tran anyway. look into the powerglides, and the th200, they run. i know some of the lightwieght parts are not cheap. but thats one of key things thouse guy run so fast. i dont know the gains but i'm sure its shocking what a stocker prep trans will full lightweight parts, and gear ratios. gain over a normal th350.
