Default Crossing the line MPH vs Time...

Last year I ran my car and was disappointed in my time but as I look at some of the other times and MPHs on here I wonder how they times and speeds relate...I was running low 14s but was crossing the line at 106 MPH

106 mph should be good for a high 12, supposing you're cutting a 1.7 60'. Put some DRs or full slicks and you should be golden.

Ok thanks! I was thinking of buying 2 camaro wheels off craigslist and putting slicks on for the track. This year Im also running headers, free mods, and frost tune so hoping for maybe mid 12s...Thanks again for the input guys!

Any sort of a sticky tire combined with an M6 and the stock rear end will go boom. My advice is to keep street tires on there until you have the money for a new rear end.

Yes start saving for a 9 inch. But you can pick up a used 10 bolt cheap to keep as a spare lol break it and replace with another and then hopefully by then you have enough pennies for a 9 inch.

Honestly, you guys probably just saved me a rear end. I'm new to the whole car thing, I grew up racing/riding bikes. I didn't think I had enough power in my car to blow the rear end. I thought he was messing with me. Really appreciate all the insight!

Start saving now! I broke mine completely stock with mickeys and monster clutch......granted my 9" was almost ready and i launched it at 5500 broke an axle and stranded about 10ft past the staging beams lol. It will eventually break on you though.
