It is also sea level, helps a lot even with the heat.

Times Seem a little slow. I think DA and that 60ft have a little to do with it. Also is 3rd the same as OD as us? For some reason I run better in OD...
Actually, if changed at the appropriate time, conventional VS synthetic is absolutely fine.
If you run a full Syn oil and change it every 3K miles, you are wasting a whole lot of money for no reason.

So you're running conventional?

Fwiw I think I was in the mid to high 8s with just a Skokie and FTRA nothing else. Race weight was at just about 3800 too

Every run was around the same time/trap. I was pretty much dead hooking also, I had it in 3rd on all of the runs.
My stock 01 ws6 was going 8.7s...spinning running 9.2 even 9.4 with the mudity lately...seems about right though...the da had to be a factor.

sure seems like it. my CAI full exhaust lt1 gets 8.8 1/8 mile times. but lts make all there power alot lower giving me a better launch. i have 3.23 gears to. i trap at 78mph in the 1/8 you would be catching me. ( classic lt1 vs ls1 scenario) i would smoke my friends ls1 in the 1/8 but by the 1/4 he blows past me. same thing with the new vettes and and camaro ss cars. if you get a little stall converter it will really help you. and gear would make it a different car.

My pass or his? Granted my track might be close to sea level on the track, but the air was over 2000 DA that evening...
