Ok Lemons, read it again for your own clarification. Are you feeling a little on the sour side tonight?

I could be wrong, but I don't think he was inquiring about the 10.29 being any kind of record for a stock bottom end, only the rear end... Which wouldn't be what the record for a stock read end was based on anyway, it would be the 60'.

No sour side, we got Lemonade tonight!!

There are stock bottom end cars in the mid 8s. I'm sure by the middle of next year we are going to see several mid 8 cars, a couple low 8 cars, and hopefully one 7.XXXX car!
Who has a stock bottom end in the 8s?

there are a couple, and a lot going for it that will make it.

Skinnies is the record holder right now, soon to beat his previous record by a few more tenths.

I think by this time next year, we will see one in the 7s still stock bottom.

Aftermarket rears are expensive Matt, but having a spare 10 bolt is not that costly. Buy a used 10 bolt and sit it off to the side as a spare is good insurance, and not that expensive. I'm looking for a 10 bolt now for just that purpose.

i know they are expensive but to meet my goal of 700 to 750 whp. 370" forged internals, ported 317s custom turbo grind, and 76mm bb turbo with ac. all while being my spring summer fall daily driver. i need great parts and would rather spend the money than break it. kinda wana overbuild it one time then rebuild it 2. since i already have a 8 sec turbo s10 and learned a lot along the way. its deff cheaper to set the goal build once and enjoy.!!!!!

When did you get an 8 sec truck? And if only want to do things once and enjoy driving it then why dont you take the carb off your truck.

Had my s10 since I was 15 but id say 3. Yrs ago was the first 8. And now that I believe the issues are worked out should go 8.50s maybe faster. Its just a 3600 lb truck.

It would shock me if a 6 speed lasted more than 5 passes with a 1.6 short time.
My buddy had a stock rear in his T56 car and ran many high 1.5 low 1.6 passes and that rear has broke. That was on a high 10 second/11.0's car all motor. Trapped 127. 93 firebird TA. He got lucky I guess, and I wouldnt recommend a heavier car trying hard 60s on a 10 bolt with a sticky clutch.

6 speed, built rear mandatory.. Autos, can get away for quite a while.
x2 a 9 second automatic car is about as easy on the drivetrain as a 12 second m6

at lsfest a couple weeks ago mine went 10.07 @ 135, stock 10 bolt, stock axles. 6.5 @ 111mph 1/8, idk what the record is though.

Below is a 10.01 pass @ 130, watch the vid and see how far before the traps i let off She was running out of fuel so i let out of it at the top of 3rd before going through the traps... It would have been a 9 second pass no doubt...
