Hey guys a good friend of mine has a 02 camaro with stockbottom end and stock rear. Stock axels diff and lower control arms. He ran a 10.29 at 133.21. Is there any faster with the stock rear that uve ever seen or heard of? I thought a 10.29 had to b some kind of record given the 10 bolts horrible rep.

Its a 02 z28 was a m6 but swaped for a th400 I built for it. Jegs xhd 3000 stall stock short block 317 heads w 918 springs some aftermarket small cam. Stock intake tb ky turbo crossover for truck manis unported his own 3.5" dp w pasterpower q trim 76mm on 14psi and e85 80lb inj sp tune. Lost a pump so has some more power avail. Car is full interior stock and rear is bone stock torsen diff stock axels cover and lower control arms. He bent the stock tq arm so it has a spohn on it. Ran mt et streets 325/50s left on the footbrake no boost 1.6 60ft but 10.33 and 133.21 first time out and 10.29 at 133.21 second pass. I was real impressed cause how stock it is and that I've broke the 10 bolt in my s10 with the stock v6 so I know there week. He. Works with me I'm building a custom ac turbo kit that keeps air and with his numbers I'm hoping I can make mine live for a lil wile mine is staying m6 wich won't help it last. I really thought it had to b a record

The et would have nothing to do with a 10 bolt record, it would be the 60'. Either way, I'm positive that wouldn't be the et record.
There are tons of us cutting 1.4 short times on the stock rear.. Iirc Chris cut a high 1.3.
Behind an a4 they do very well. Behind a manual they are a joke.

So ur saying uve went 1.3 60 ft at what et? A record is determined by et and or mph. So there are cars faster than 10.29 at 133. Wow I didn't think these rears were that strong. U couldent just say I got a 1.2 60 cause there are many variables like mostly weight. A heavy car would snap it sooner than a chassis car. And I'm talking stock rear. No axels covers diffs or gears. Stock as it rolld off gms floor.

wow that's impressive .were they on a 100 percent stock rear. I can't believe its doing it with mods but I think he will go 9s on a 100 percent stock 10 bolt. Not evan a diff cover with the bolts for the caps. I know one thing any 10 bolt going low 10s is crazy fast he'll I see more 11 sec 12 bolts and 9"s few 10s if he goes 9s ill deff be impressed more than I already am.

I've been 9.73 at 142 on a 1.49 60 foot witha stock 2.73 rear end.
Its seen 1.41-1.45 60 foots on a nitrous 383 motor that went 10.6's.
My buddy's 3rd gen 10 bolt went 1.38 60 foot on a nitrous 406. Bone stock rear.

Hot Rod magazine had a 4.8 LS truck motor putting out 1200 horsepower on a stock bottom end about 3 or 4 months ago. Just the ring end gaps were opened up. I don't know if that was strictly a for fun dyno motor or it made its way into a car. I bet that ***** would do better than 10's in a Camaro.

There are stock bottom end cars in the mid 8s. I'm sure by the middle of next year we are going to see several mid 8 cars, a couple low 8 cars, and hopefully one 7.XXXX car!

Wow so do u guys think that if I run a ram dual dick clutch and leave soft with a low 2 step point like 3200. Should I try the stock rear. Seems like a few have done good. But they don't seem to like 6spds
